DRAGONLAND: New Album Samples Posted Online
October 8, 2004DRAGONLAND, the Gothenburg, Sweden-based melodic metal sextet, have uploaded five one-minute audio clips from their third album, "Starfall", at this location.
Commented guitarist Olof Mörck: "These five samples we've chosen are just a small tip of the iceberg of 'Starfall', although we think the new direction of our music and our new sound will be thoroughly evident in listening to them. The true diversity of this album, with songs ranging from '80s hard rock style through heavy SOILWORK-ish tunes, to Arabian soundscapes, will only reveal itself through a full listening of the new album. Enjoy!"
The follow-up to 2002's "Holy War", "Starfall" was recorded at Tom Englund's (EVERGREY) Division One Studios in Sweden with Englund producing. An October 25 release through Century Media Records is expected. The Japanese edition of the album, due on October 27 via King Records, will include a bonus track, a cover of X-JAPAN's "Rusty Nail".
In other news, DRAGONLAND guitarists Olof Mörck and Nicklas Magnusson have signed an endorsment deal with the Japanese guitar company Caparison.
Commented Magnusson: "To us, Caparison guitars has always stood for very high-quality guitarists in their endorsement roster, and their brilliant craftmanship is of no doubt of the highest standards, so needless to say, it is a great honor for us!"
